Seems a recent chrome update caused the authorization link between the desktop application and the chrome extension to be broken. Downloading the Dashlane desktop application installer, then reinstalling the application fixed the grey icon issue for me. Apr 23, 2020 · Desktop app – Not all password managers have solid desktop apps. Dashlane does (Windows and Mac) and they’re pretty great. We mention it because it gives you access to a bunch of features in May 21, 2020 · There is also a desktop app available, but combined, the browser plugin and web app are more than adequate. (Image credit: Dashlane) I can no longer get the desktop app and extension to work together, have lost a TON of passwords somehow, and this app has now caused me more of a headache then it was ever worth. PC mag has a good article on other free and premium password manager options, Dashlane isn't even on their list of best password managers for 2019, that says something!
A great app to help with password management and personal information. What I like - The desktop version allows me to stay logged in for up to 14 days thus keeping me from entering my master password for every little transaction I do. What I love - Entering credit card and payment information is such a snap!
